I'm back! I am a little exhausted...mentally, after burning the candles at both ends these past couple of days but there's plenty more steam left in me.
We had THE most beautiful day yesterday with our beautiful friend Kathy. She is a real trooper to say the least. There were 25 of us in total that rocked up to the hospital. We took over the verandah so we didn't disturb the other patients.
Decked it out with "Happy Birthday" banners and a mass of balloons. It looked so wonderful. Her hubby had it fully catered for so we had this lovely lady there offering us delicious finger foods and the day was complete when the awesome chocolate & hazelnut spectacular of a cake came out. kath was showered with precious gifts, hugs & a million kisses.
We will be visiting her daily at the hospital to keep her spirits high.
You know all I have been able to say to my friends and sister is...."THIS SUCKS"!
WHY???? I am sure there are plenty of you that have said and have felt the exact same thing. But we pick ourselves up and do the only thing we can do and that is to laugh (LOUDLY) and give every ounce of love in our hearts to the ones we love that are sitting at the same table with that ugly thing we call Cancer!
Make sure you have a laugh today and everyday....Okay!!!! 8-))
So let's have a feel good session and announce the winners of my giveaway!!
Firstly I would like to thank all you gorgeous girls for the beautiful messages of support. That was so lovely...Thankyou xxx
And thankyou also to everyone who has left Christmas wishes with their comments on my giveaway post. Merry Christmas to you all! Cheers...klink klink klink......don't spill any!!
Now instead of calling on the random number generator I decided to let Jack pick the numbers. He was required to give me 4 numbers between 1 & 80.
So here are the names that match those numbers...........
Raise your glasses for Linea.............Cheers!!
Caitlin (crafty crack pot)....Cheers!
Betsy...............Cheers!
Miss Nancy.....Cheers!
Congratulations ladies. Jack has also been given the task of picking which pattern will be posted to whom so the surprise continues......... :-)
If you could all email me with your postal details I shall get Postman Pat to warm up his sleigh and be on his way to you.
Before I go I just want to share a couple of Chrissy things that were in the ward yesterday. Their decorations were so lovely. There were a million gold stars dangling from the ceiling just twinkling and of course the amazing staff there have a very festive reception desk area. I didn't take my camera but did have my phone so snapped a few pics.
And you wouldn't read about it. Hanging on the wall was a quilt that looked very familiar to me. I took a pic and yes it was what I had suspected. One of Janelle's designs. Small world isn't it. Someone had made it and donated it.
Anyone for puddin'???
Enjoy the rest of your day!
Until next time....................
