I am back safe and sound from Melbourne. Actually I arrived back last Sunday night or should I say Monday morning after a long long journey home. Started with leaving the AQM via taxi, then bus, then aeroplane, then bus, then train, then taxi. Are you exhausted just reading that??? I know how you feel.....LOL
I walked in my door dragging my suitcase and my feet at 12.30am. I had a blister on each of my little toes.......OUCH! and was totally gone, committed, zombie'd out, lost the plot for at least 2 days. Really tired is what I was...........LOL! So by wednesday I was back to normal. We are having the most fantastic weather here. Simply glorious. The fans going full pelt, summer wear, no shoes. And it's so nice when you hang the washing on the line bare foot. Because it has been so humid lately the grass is really soft and lush. It's shame Morrie didn't join me...........................
He's just too hot to handle my Morrie! Now how did the AQM go you ask???? It was great as always. I get to catch up with all my good buddies that live interstate and only get to see them at the Sydney and Melbourne shows. So it was lovely to see them all. I stayed at the lovely Gail's house and we had a ball. Thankyou to Liam for giving up him room for me. You have a comfy bed Liam, not too sure about your alarm clock though.....LOL! I also did a wittle bit of shopping........
This is felted wool. You can purchase it from Hatched and Patched, Annie Downs store. They hand dye this themselves and the colours are just so sweet. I love the texture of it so thought it would be fun to work with so I am excited about designing something just for these little pretties.
Fabric is always on the list as well, did I even need to say that? NUH.................try and hold me back!
I haven't had a chance to unwrap it yet so when I do I will show you some more of it. It's called "Just wing it" by Moda. So pretty in deed and I have Block of the month planned for this stash......2011 look out :-)
The best part about the show was meeting a friend who I had only ever talked to through email, facebook etc: Do you remember little Lucy who had the Ladybird party??? I also designed a pattern and named it after her. "Lucy's Ladybird Adventure" well Amanda is her mum and she came to the show just to meet me. Now that's special...really special. It was so great to see you in the flesh Amanda. You will have to come again next year and hang out.
Well I better get my skates on. Still in my jammies and I have class this morning so have a great weekend everyone. I hope the sun is a shining in your part of the world. We are expecting a glorious one.
