It's been a hectic, stressful week to say the least. Everytime I tried to find a minute to give you all an update on my visit to the Ear, Nose and Throat Doc, the phone rang, classes were on, bowling etc etc etc!
Now that it's saturday morn and I had a nice sleep in till 8.25am exactly.....ahhhhhhh stretch, I have made the beds, put the washing on, had brekkie and here I am. With Barry of course. How dare I not include him for brekkie. He's a pushy guy you know. Would make a great used car salesman...LOL!
He was pretty happy to discover my new cereal "Special K with almonds & honey"........it's totally yummy.
So what did the Doc say & what am I allergic to? WELL..........massive operation needed. Not just nasal polyp removal but a septoplasty. I have had both of these done before. It's the Septoplasty that I am not happy about. The polyps aren't too bad compared to the other. Won't go too much into what they do there but both sides of the sinuses will be totally scrapped. Mucosal membrane removed. Some bone growth. A straightening of the nasal septrim. This is the bone running down through the centre of the nose but goes back further inwards. Mine has a slight bow in it and is causing blockage. Lots for the doc to do. Operation postponed until early February now.
Mainly due to the massive amounts of cash that I have to find. There goes the family trip to Europe and back. And also because of the size of the operation there will be an overnight stay in hospital and some recovery time and it was too close to Christmas. Am I nervous, terrified, sick in the stomach beyond belief? OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH how can I put it into words. Best I don't in a public forum.
I did come home to my beloved Barry who felt my pain and gave me some TLC. There's nothing like a beauty therapy session to make a girl feel better. He decided to do my brows for me.
Allergies.........Dogs (have 2 of them. Not going anywhere) Tomatoes (already new this, love em', easily sacrificed) Mould, (it's everywhere yikes) Grass seeds (ban all lawn mowers..NOW) & if you can believe this one (Cockroaches) eeeewwwwwwww! Apparently it's very comment. we don't have a cockie problem but we get the big ones in the warmer months (so out come the cockie bombs) There are others but these are the major ones. They all make polyps grow in my sinuses. GREAT!!! Where's that bubble???
So before I go and enjoy this wonderful sunny day, pop on over to Quilt Fabric delights and have a little lookie at the GORGEOUS little treasures that Sarah has for sale. Mine is already on the way......hehehehe can't wait.
Have yourselves a sensational weekend!
A choo A choo "In stitches" (I can the mowers already......)
