Neglected is my blog!.....So sorry girls!.....I have been busily packaging and posting my new Blossom Creek out to the shops with the very needed help from my sister, Shelley! Thanks Shell xxx
And also a big hug and kiss to my DH and son Jack for being so patient with me working. They haven't seen me much at all even though I am only at the back of the house in the office. The computer was happy as it had a dinner partner nearly every night for the past week. LOL! No candles though...sorry computer! 8-)
I can't believe how fast the days are flying by and everyday I say to myself..."Must do a post with a giveaway for my "Blossom Creek"......
I have also been busy designing projects for 2 retreats that I will teaching at in the coming months and even though they are a few months apart they have deadlines that are very close together for certain reasons. AARRGGHHHH!!!!!!!!
That's me pulling my hair very hard....LOL but everythings fine 8-}
Now before I talk a little more about my giveaway, I think that some of you are having trouble leaving comments on my blog. If this is the case could you please email me from the "Email Me" link at the top left hand side of my blog. Just underneath my mug shot so I can look into this a bit further. Not sure what is happening.
Now I have enjoyed every moment of designing and stitching my "Blossom Creek". There was not a moment that I had to walk away. Which we know can happen when we are creating.
The houses where drawn up early last year as little doodles for whatever at whenever and when I purchased the "Oh Cherry Oh" layer cake pack at the Melbourne Trade Show late last year I had nothing special in mind for it, just loved the colours.
So for the start of 2009 I went through my design folder of doodles and so forth and thought...hmmmmmmm.......I could do something with my little houses with a few modifications and my yummy fabric and ALAS! "Blossom Creek".
I think what I love most about it is being a girl from a big city it conjours up thoughts of living in a sweet little community where life just floats by so easily! Hmmm do I have my rose coloured glasses on? 8-) NAH!!
Many of you who read my blog are probably lucky enough to be doing just that. I would love to know what makes it so special for you and if you are a big city gal what special offerings surround you??
"Blossom Creek" is a 5 part BOM and I have 2 full sets to giveaway. So would love to hear all about your "Blossom Creek"!
I will run the giveaway for 1 week and announce the winners roughly around this time next Thursday night. Good Luck ladies :-)
So don't forget if you have trouble leaving a comment please let me know.
So until then........
Love thy Neighbour “In Stitches” Natalie LOL!

I feel in love with your blog and designs once I saw the bag you created for the Australian magazine.
I love all the bright and fun colors you use.
I live in a suburb of Tampa but I go to the city of Tampa every weekend because that is where the action is including the best quilt shops in town.

I love that, even though I'm a big city girl, I have neighbours who share with us fruit from their trees and all kinds of help when we need it. I love that my kids know the local kids and can walk down to the local park for a play or to ride their bikes.
AND, I love that I just might b the first person to comment on this post. Might that give me a competitive edge? I would love to win one of these kits.
Absolutely gorgeous.
Fingers crossed.
Andi :-)

I live in suburbia where soon after moving in I met one set of neighbours by locking myself out of my house after going for a very early morning walk LOL (6 am if you must know and in winter). They very happily supplied me with a phone and coffee while I waited for my brother-in-law to come over and let me in.To me this is what I love about living where I do,neighbours that become friends.Barb

I am a country girl and live in a very small Rural community. What I like is that its easy to get to know people but that they also let you live your own life.

I would love to live in Blossom Creek. I'm a small town girl living in an ever-growing city. My Blossom Creek as a child...we knew everybody and everybody knew us. You never went anywhere you didn't see peope you knew. A wonderful park called Lucky Park. Even though it is a desert town it is quaint and the most gorgeous sunsets. There is nothing more beautiful than the desert sky. All of my family still lives there and my dad will be 90 in July and I will be going home to celebrate.

Dear Natalie, I'm italian and I live in a Blossom Creek, but every day I go to work in a town in a office and the only Blossom creek of my week is the your. I think that you are an especially quilter, you are a various combination of dream and reality, with the most colours you find in fabrics. can you write a book with your patterns? Thank you

Dear Natalie, Just love Blossom Creek and would love to live there...I am a country girl living in a small city but I get by by having a small vegie garden and 3 chickens. As they say "You can take a girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of a girl!!!"That's me. Would love to win this pattern...just beautiful.

Hey Nat! I've had a taste of both city and 'Blossom Creek' throughout my life and given a choice ... choose Blossom Creek! Growing up in a small country town, we walked to school, rode bikes if we were going further, everyone looked out for everyone and if something went wrong, the whole community pitched in to help. I now live in a rural city where I don't know most of the neighbours, have lots of traffic and a teeny yard ... SIGH! Dreaming of one day returning to Blossom Creek! So if I won your version, I'd be over the moon! Bear Hugs! KRIS

I just like your Blossom Creek so very much!!!! It is just marvellous. It is a nice combination between applique and stitching.
I live in Holland on the country, nearby a city. I live in a farmhouse, but we aren't farmers.
We have a small orchard and some chickens and in the sumer also some sheep. And i see my house very much like the houses in blossem creek. I now what to do with the design.
Friendly greeting Willeke

I have been in love with "Blossom Creek" since your first sneak peek! Of course I'd love to win the patterns...a lot!!! I currently live in a small town and appreciate less traffic and quiet evenings...but I've lived in medium sized cities and big cities before too!

Blossom Creek is so wonderful, the little suprises in the blocks make it so much fun to look at and search for the little things, arrangement of colors and bright to keep you looking at it. Going from the city as a child to the country after being married now that I am older wanting to go back to the city, I miss sidewalks. Being able to go out for walks without being hit by a car, when your chances are higher out here in the country. Country and City have their places. Both are wonderful like your quilt. It is all about choices and your color choices and blocks make this quilt very nice.

What a wonderful BOM, Natalie! Such wonderful bright colors once again. And the Wonky House looks adorable. We live in the city, but luckily we have lots of nature around us, which allowed our children to play outside on the streets and us to go for nice walk with our dog.
Have a lovely week!

I just love the creative designs that Blossom Creek comes up with. I grew up in the "country" then moved to the city. I keep thinking that it would be wonderful to move back to that 'Blosson Creek'.

I love your designs! Thanks for the great giveaway

I live in a rural city which is small enough not to have to allow too much time to get from one side of town to the other (great if you seem to be forever running late!) and to have good friends you can phone to pick up the kids , feed the pets and meet for a coffee when it all gets too much! 'Blossom Creek' is the town of my childhood - perfect!

Hi Natalie, I love Blossom Creek it is such a girly, happy quilt! I grew up in the "Burbs" in a cul-de-sac. Our street had something like 14 children, so I had lots of people to play with...we all knew each others business and shared joys and sorrows!! In hindsight it was a good childhood...lots of "parents" to help us! Cathyx

Natalie -- Blossom Creek is lovely. After growing up in a big city, I live in a Blossom Creek. It was wonderful raising my sons in this envirionment. Given the choice, I would stay here!

Love your Blossom Creek design, especially the little "people" that inhabit it. I grew up in the country on a farm and spent my childhood wishing I lived in town - now I live in a medium sized town but love to return to the quiet and peace of my dad's farm where he raises organically grown corn. Visiting my dad is a gift I give myself!
