I am now as of last week officially related to Mr Magoo....remember him? The little baldy man with the HUGE glasses who was as blind as a bat. Blind as a bat I am not, BUT I took myself along for an eye test which I thought was a good idea seeing, (pardon the pun) it has been 20 years since my last one AND with all the close up stitching I have been doing lately I have been suffering with bad eye strain. My very sweet and lovely optometrist, who was baldy and wore glasses, Hmmmm! informed me that my eyes are at teen/middle age stage. EERRGGHH! I said, love the teen word but definitely cancel out the middle age. So I now have myself not one but 2 pairs of glasses. It was 2 for the price of 1 which made me feel a little better because it seemed like some serious BARGAIN shopping. Nothing better than landing a bargain even if it is spectacles. I think I would have preferred a new bra!
I have been madly trying to catch up on my stitching of my Homespun project which I will give you a sneeky peeky of. It doesn't come out till May of next year. Homespun work so far ahead unfortunately you will have to wait till then to see the completed item.
As you can see I have been doing needle turn applique which I just love. Can't wait to show you all of the finished project. There is a finished piece I can show you and that is a lovely cot quilt that one of my students completed in class. Susan is fairly new to the world of Patchwork and Quilting and is having a ball with all the projects she is creating. There is a new little person expected into her family soon and she made this for the new babe! I just love the colours. WELL DONE Susan!
Who's that peeking over the quilt? Oh it's Susan. Hi Susan....:-)
I am also pleased to say that my patterns for my "The Wonder of Spring" BOM are nearly ready for purchase. If you have an overwhelming desire to make it then you can sign up with Kerry at Cottage on the Hill or Kim at Honeysuckle Cottage. Both these wonderful gals will be running it.
Well girls I hope you have had a terrific weekend full of fun and stitchin' Until next time...
