Yesterday I hosted my Xmas in July workshop. A small group of my students came along for the day and they all made my Santa! We had a blast. They were no sooner in the door and the machines were a hummin'. We were all in for a treat. My gorgeous mum made her world famous Lemon Meringue pie, which is just to die for, Thanks mum xx and my baby sister Melanie was the chef for the day. She through in some yummy double choc/choc chip muffins! MMMMMM! are you drooling yet :-) we munched on those for morning tea and went back to work. The girls powered on and exchange a couple of mystery fat 1/4's each which they are all going to make something special out of to remember our great day together. I took some pics of course but they were not on speaking terms with the camera, except for Terri whose lovely pink quilt I pictured in my last post, she is first cab off the rank. And she was the comedian for the day. Had us all in Stitches! Pardon the pun....hehe Some of the pics are out of focus because I had to be quick about it, but had to show you. Lunchtime arrived and we were served up with a traditional Xmas dinner. Roast veggies, carrots, peas and of course scrumdiddlyumptious Turkey with all the trimmings. Thanks Mel xxx How spoiled are we and to keep with the whole chrissy thing a little something special under the tree for the girls from myself. They all loved their little treats which I know will come in very handy as you will see below. I designed for them a felt needlecase each which I have called "Stitchin' in the garden". They are all into stitcheries so they were perfect. Came complete with needles 'n' scissors. So with bulging bellies back to the cabin we went. Bums up and heads down they were straight back into finishing their Santa's, afternoon tea was by-passed for some strange reason..Hmmm....and sadly the day came to an end but not without the completion of their gorgeous little fellows. Nice work girls! I just thought of something..no arvo tea yesterday...that means pudding still in cupboard and cream in fridge, YIPPEEEEEE! I'll save you some :-) I'm off to do some stitchin' I hope you are all stitchin' too. First one to finish can have some pudding. hehehehe!
Forever "In Stitches"
